Want to hand dye your own embroidery floss and then embark on a journey to make your own Boro Bag/Hip Bag? You will learn low water immersion techniques using Procion MX dyes to dye your own threads and embroidery floss. Then use those threads to create a boro (raw edge collage style) fanny pack. Melanie will guide you through finding inspiration in your daily life to sketch, oh, correct that, embroider your own Boro Bag/Hip Bag. 😀

The pattern is included in the price of the class.

If you would like to dye embroidery floss other than cotton:

DMC is easy to find locally and is a fine cotton floss to start dying, it works well with the Stitch Bow because they were made for one another. DMC also sells a fabulously shiny rayon 6 strand floss in white and I suggest you get some.

Perle cotton is size 3 or 5, (not 12) is also OK.

YLI sells a silk embroidery floss wrapped on cards that is really quite nice.
